Yola Performs ‘Stand For Myself’ Live From Easy Eye Sound

Yola shared an acoustic live version of “Stand For Myself,” the title track to her upcoming new album. The performance was captured at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, where Stand For Myself was recorded with producer and owner of the studio, Dan Auerbach.

The Easy Eye Sound record label will release Stand For Myself on July 30. The follow-up to Yola’s 2019 Auerbach-produced, debut album, Walk Through Fire, features the previously shared singles “Diamond Studded Shoes” and “Starlight.” Yola, Auerbach, Hannahn V and Natalie Hemby (The Highwomen) co-wrote “Stand For Myself” and the album version features backing vocals by The McCrary Sisters.

Yola will perform at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City for tonight’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Watch Yola and keyboardist Ray Jacildo performing “Stand For Myself” live at Easy Eye Sound studio below:
