Lake Street Dive celebrated Halloween by releasing a video featuring a cover of the Hall & Oates classic “You Make My Dreams (Come True).” The band dressed in costumes straight out of the 1980s for the clip.
Hall & Oates originally issued “You Make My Dreams (Come True)” on their ninth studio album, 1980’s Voices. The song peaked at number five on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart the following year.
Lake Street Dive filmed their take on “You Make My Dreams (Come True)” while on the road. Anna Watson edited the video while Robin MacMillan mixed the audio. The clip continues a tradition of Halloween covers from LSD that has included renditions of The Beatles’ “Don’t Let Me Down,” Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Second Hand News,” among others.
