Watch Amanda Shires & Jason Isbell Perform ‘Home To Me’ Backstage At The Ryman

Amanda Shires and Jason Isbell shared a video of a performance of Shires’ song “Home To Me” that was recorded backstage at The Ryman Auditorium during Isbell’s recent residency at the Nashville venue. The song appears on Shires’ newly released holiday album, For Christmas.

Shires wrote and recorded nine new original songs to pair with two seasonal classics on For Christmas. The album was produced by Lawrence Rothman and features The McCrary Sisters on four songs. Shires recruited The 400 Unit bassist Jimbo Hart as well as longtime collaborator, keyboardist Peter Levin, to track For Christmas. Others who contributed to the record include drummer Fred Eltringham, guitarist Pat Buchanan and Rothman.

Shires, who is a member of Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, opened for the band led by her husband on the opening night of their eight-show October residency at The Ryman. Watch the couple perform “Home To Me” below:
