The Disco Biscuits will move forward with their two-night New Year’s Run 2021 at The Fillmore Philadelphia on December 30 and December 31 (New Year’s Eve) with a caveat. Fans will need to test negative for COVID-19 in order to attend. The band will provide free on-site testing for ticketholders who can also provide an independent negative lab test result obtained on December 29 or later.
“We’ve been working like crazy all week to come up with a solution to let the show go on. We have partnered with an organization called City Testing Centers and we will be providing FREE on-site testing for everyone who comes through the door on 12/30 regardless of vaccination status,” explained tDB in a statement. “If you get tested on site on the 30th you will not need to retest for the 31st. If you can provide an independent negative lab test from the 29th or the 30th, you can skip this process.”
City Testing Centers will be conducting the free on-site tests starting at noon on December 30 and 31 and running through 10:30 p.m. Those who arrive after 10:30 p.m. will need to provide their own lab test result obtained no earlier than December 29 to enter the venue. Pre-registration will be available in the coming days.
“We’ve taken all factors into consideration and it just doesn’t seem like we can do this without ensuring that everyone has access to a free test within hours of the event,” added the jamtronica quartet. “We have some amazing shows planned and have worked so hard to bring a special experience to the fans this New Years, and we want it to be as safe as possible for everyone. A positive test turned in on site will result in a refund.”
