Oysterhead, Trey Anastasio Band and The String Cheese Incident headline the 2022 SweetWater 420 Fest lineup. The event returns to Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta April 29 – May 1, 2022 following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic with a pre-party planned for April 28, 2022.
Umphrey’s McGee, Snoop Dogg, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Goose, Dirty Heads, Snarky Puppy, JJ Grey & Mofro and Lotus are more of the acts aboard for next year’s event. TAB, SCI, UM and JRAD will each perform two sets. Additionally, Turkuaz will present their tribute to Talking Heads’ Remain In Light album with Talking Heads co-founder Jerry Harrison and one-time touring member Adrian Belew. Other SweetWater 420 Fest 2022 acts include Spafford, Big Something, Too Many Zooz, The Movement, Doom Flamingo + Queen Is Doomed and Badfish.
Oysterhead features Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio, Primus bassist Les Claypool and The Police drummer Stewart Copeland. The trio was included on SweetWater 420 Fest’s 2020 lineup before the event was canceled in the wake of the hiatus. Oysterhead’s appearance at next April’s event is currently the only gig on the books for the three-piece who performed at the Peach Music Festival back in July.
The separately ticketed pre-party concert in Centennial Olympic Park will feature two sets from The String Cheese Incident along with performances from moe., Oteil & Friends and Empire Strikes Brass.
