Guitarist Steve Kimock and his son, drummer John Kimock will team up with legendary bassist George Porter Jr. and ALO multi-instrumentalist Lebo (Dan Lebowitz) to play this year’s Summerzend BS benefit concert/livestream. The intimate performance will air via a livestream on Sunday, September 12 starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Summerzend was first held in 1983 and continues annually at the Beverly Shores, Indiana home of Jan and Jeff Katz. Each year the family brings musicians together to jam and play their hearts out as well as to raise funds for a worthy cause. Paladin Inc. is the beneficiary of Summerzend 2021. Lebo and Steve Kimock have performed fundraising concerts for Paladin Inc. dating back to 2014.
“Paladin Inc. provides comprehensive services for individuals with disabilities, young children, and their families. Paladin’s programs for people with disabilities foster independence by providing residential services, enrichment activities, job skills and transportation,” noted an announcement. “Paladin’s Head Start/Imagination Station is a nationally accredited child development and early intervention program for young children in need and their families.” Head here to donate to Paladin Inc.
