St. Vincent (Annie Clark) will present “Down And Out Downtown,” her first ever full-length livestream concert. The performance will air through Moment House in North America and South America on Wednesday, August 4 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT with different start times for other regions.
“Down And Out Downtown” will feature the live debuts of several tracks from St. Vincent’s recently released Daddy’s Home album as well as “new arrangements of hits and deep cuts from her illustrious catalogue.” Clark will be backed by the Down And Out Downtown Band consisting of bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen, guitarist Jason Falkner, keyboardist Rachel Eckroth, drummer Mark Guiliana and backing vocalists Nayanna Holley, Sy Smith and Neka Hamilton.
St. Vincent tapped Bill Benz to direct the livestream concert. Benz also helmed the forthcoming The Nowhere Inn film which stars and was co-written by St. Vincent. The special is described as, “a sepia toned tour de force of gritty grooves, hungover glamour and spellbinding musicality. From rollicking full band rave-ups to delicate acoustic interludes, ‘Down And Out Downtown’ brings the 70s-inspired sensibilities of Daddy’s Home to life in a celebration of unforgettable songs and peerless musicians.”
