Spafford Releases Peach Music Festival 2021 Recording

Arizona-based jam quartet Spafford released official audio from their set at The Peach Music Festival on July 3. The band’s 105-minute performance is available for download and streaming through Bandcamp and

Spafford’s Peach appearance was their only performance of 2021 thus far besides a two-night run in Tempe, Arizona in April. The four-piece kicked off their Mushroom Stage set with live staple “Ain’t That Wrong.” Next up was the short rocker “Doghouse,” a tune the band debuted in October of 2019. Spafford then showed off their improvisational prowess on a “Part II” that ran nearly 19 minutes. Another song premiered in October 2019, “Gold Glittered Hat,” followed.

A take on Atlanta Rhythm Section’s “So Into You” was the first cover of Spafford’s set. It was then back to jam vehicles for the group as an 18-minute “Windmill” was followed by an exploratory “Plans.” Spafford went on to cover Men At Work’s “Who Can It Be Now” before pairing improv-heavy favorites “Mind’s Unchained” and “My Road (My Road)” to end the frame.
