Phoebe Bridgers shared a cover of Tom Waits’ “Day After Tomorrow” as her annual Christmas season single. Bridgers will donate proceeds from the track to the International Institute of Los Angeles, an organization that provides aid to immigrants, refugees and survivors of human trafficking.
Tom Waits originally released “Day After Tomorrow” on his 2004 studio album, Real Gone. Phoebe Bridgers produced her rendition with Tony Berg and Ethan Grushka as per Stereogum. The singer-songwriter is backed by a choir that includes Blake Mills, Marcus Mumford, actress Kaitlyn Dever, Harrison Whitford and others.
