Nirvana Details ‘Nevermind’ 30th Anniversary Reissues

Nirvana’s album Nevermind will be reissued in celebration of its 30th anniversary. The landmark LP recorded by Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl was originally released on September 24, 1991.

Geffen/UMe will release the 30th anniversary expanded editions of Nevermind on November 12. The multi-format reissues range from standard to Super Deluxe Editions featuring 94 audio and video tracks, including 70 that are previously unreleased. Each 30th anniversary reissue will present a newly remastered version of Nevermind, sourced from the original analog tapes.

A portion of the unheard material was culled from Nirvana’s live concert recordings. The four performances included in the Nevermind Super Deluxe Editions are:

Live in Amsterdam, Netherlands (recorded and filmed on November 25, 1991 at the famed club Paradiso)
Live in Del Mar, California (recorded on December 28, 1991 at the Pat O’Brien Pavilion at the Del Mar Fairgrounds)
Live in Melbourne, Australia for triple j (recorded February 1, 1992 at The Palace in St. Kild)
Live in Tokyo, Japan (recorded at the Nakano Sunplaza on February 19, 1992).

Additionally, the Nevermind Super Deluxe Editions include “a first-ever 7-inch for ‘Endless, Nameless’ with B-sides ‘Even In His Youth’ and ‘Aneurysm,’ and a 40-page hardcover book with unreleased photos.” Watch Nirvana perform “Breed” from the Amsterdam show and the Nevermind 30th anniversary reissues trailer below:
