Singer-songwriter Liz Cooper will embark on an extensive fall tour this September. The tour will be held in support of Cooper’s forthcoming Hot Sass album, which is set for release via Thirty Tigers on September 3.
Liz recorded the 12-track follow-up to 2018’s Window Flower at Little Jamaica Recordings in Burlington, Vermont. Benny Yurco produced and Dan Molad mixed Hot Sass. The album comes after she left behind her longtime home of Nashville and is the first without the band addendum of the Stampede. Contributors include Yurco, bassist Joe Bisirri, drummer/percussionist Ryan Usher and guitarist/keyboardist Michael Libramento.
Cooper will start the tour following appearances at the Railbird, Bonnaroo, Telluride Blues & Brews and Sea.Hear.Now festivals as well as a performance at Nashville’s 3rd & Lindsley on September 5. A previously announced show at Maine Craft Distilling in Portland, Maine on September 26 will be followed by Liz’s return to Burlington for a concert at Higher Ground on September 30.
October dates include stops in Albany, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Columbus, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Brooklyn, Peekskill (New York), Towson (Maryland), Richmond, Carrboro (North Carolina), Charlotte, Asheville, Savannah and Atlanta. Liz then heads west in November for concerts in Fort Worth, Austin, Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Eugene, Portland (Oregon), Spokane, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, Davenport (Iowa), Minneapolis and Chicago.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 23 at 10 a.m. local time.
