Gov’t Mule Postpones New Year’s Run 2021 Due To COVID-19

Gov’t Mule rescheduled their upcoming New Year’s Run 2021 due to a spike in COVID-19 cases as a result of the Omicron variant. The band’s performance at The Met Philadelphia and two nights at The Beacon Theatre in New York City have been postponed until April 2022.

The Met Philadelphia was originally scheduled to host the opening night of the run on December 29. Now, Gov’t Mule will play the venue on April 14 following concerts at The Beacon Theatre in NYC on April 8 and 9. Tickets for Mule’s December 30 show at The Beacon will be honored on April 8 with tickets for the band’s New Year’s Eve concert in NYC honored on April 9. Information regarding refunds was not mentioned as part of today’s announcement.

“We’ve always approached our New Year’s runs as a very special set of shows, and these shows in April will be no different,” explained Gov’t Mule in an announcement posted on their social feeds. The theme for this year’s New Year’s Eve concert was the “Black ‘n’ Blue New Year’s Show.”
