Coachella was last held in 2019. The 2020 event was supposed to be headlined by Rage Against The Machine, Frank Ocean and Travis Scott but was first postponed to October 2020 and eventually canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers aimed to present Coachella last April before local health official Dr. Cameron Kaiser canceled the 2021 installment on January 29, “based on the fall resurgence of COVID-19 both within the County of Riverside and worldwide.”
Each day of Coachella 2022 is expected to draw full capacity crowds of up to 125,000 attendees as per the New York Times. While tickets for the first weekend are sold out, fans can join the waitlist by following this link. Registration to participate in a pre-sale for the second weekend this Friday, January 14 at 10 a.m. PT is open now here.
