Car Seat Headrest Confirms North American Tour 2022

Car Seat Headrest announced a 2022 North American Tour. The extensive spring run will begin in March and wrap up in May with support from Bartees Strange and Floral Tattoo on select dates.

CSH — frontman Will Toledo, drummer Andrew Katz, guitarist Ethan Ives and bassist Seth Dalby – shared a note for fans regarding the tour. Read it below:

You are formally invited to a venue near you to partake in The CAR SEAT HEADREST MASQUERADE TOUR for a night of music, dancing, and identity loss.

We are deeply excited to crawl out of our pit and onto the spot lit stage once more. For a few hours on a spring night, you too can slip out of your mind and into the ever-changing shared world of the theater.

We ask that you wear a mask (you know which kind) and invite you to accouter yourself in whatever further costumery you please. Proof of COVID-19 vaccine or a negative test will be required. At some venues only proof of vaccine will be accepted – check your local venue to receive details.

The Car Seat Headrest Masquerade Tour gets underway on March 16 in Minneapolis ahead of a jaunt through the Midwest with stops in Milwaukee, Chicago and Detroit followed by a foray into Canada with a play in Toronto. CSH then hits the Northeast via Massachusetts with concerts in North Adams and Boston before heading to Portland, Maine ahead of a two-night run in Brooklyn and subsequent shows in Philadelphia and Washington D.C to kick off April.

The band then heads through the South with an engagement in Charlottesville, Virginia ahead of two North Carolina stops in Asheville and Raleigh. Following a show in Columbia, South Carolina, the band will hit Atlanta and Nashville. CSH then descends down the West Coast beginning in Seattle on April 22 and working their way through Portland, Eugene, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles to wrap up April. The tour then hits Texas markets via Phoenix followed by concerts in Oklahoma City, Kansas City, Denver and Boulder. Car Seat Headrest will conclude the tour in Vancouver on May 20.

The excursion will see Car Seat Headrest selling limited-edition tour-only CD, The MADLO EPs, which features the band’s Summer 2021 digital releases of the EPs MADLO: Influences and MADLO: Remixes. Influences features covers of artists who the band cite as influences, including David Bowie and The Who, on their stellar 2020 album, Making A Door Less Open, while Remixes sees interpretations of MADLO songs from Superorganism, Scuba and more as well as from Toledo and Katz’s CSH side project 1 Trait Danger.
