Brooklyn Comes Alive (BCA) returns for its 2021 installment on September 26 at The Brooklyn Mirage for a lengthy one-day event at a single venue. The festival, which was called off in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, features a lineup that includes The Disco Biscuits, The Motet & Special Guests and more.
The Disco Biscuits will headline BCA 2021 with two sets. Meanwhile, The Motet will be joined by special guests guitarist Jeremy Schon (Pigeons Playing Ping Pong), trumpeter Eric “Benny” Bloom (Lettuce) and vocalist Shira Elias (Turkuaz). Additionally, a set comes from the Joe Russo, John Medeski & Dave Harrington Trio as well as the Break Science Live Band and BCA veteran Karina Rykman. Karina will both perform with her band and serve as DJ during setbreaks.
Previous installments of Brooklyn Comes Alive have been held at multiple venues in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood. “I am thrilled to finally announce the lineup for Brooklyn Comes Alive 2021,” BCA organizer Gideon Plotnicki said in a statement. “It has been a long and winding road to get here since we were forced to postpone the event in 2020 due to COVID-19, but we made it, and I cannot wait to reunite with our BCA family at the amazing Brooklyn Mirage in September!”
