Bon Iver will return to the stage for the first time since the pandemic began to play a pair of shows honoring the 10th anniversary of their sophomore studio album, 2011’s Bon Iver, Bon Iver. The concerts will take place at the new YouTube Theater in the Los Angeles area October 22 – 23.
“A decade later, a decade of gratitude,” reads a note from the band. “Join us in sincerity & celebration of community & togetherness, past, present, & future.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 20 at 10 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster (October 22, October 23) following a presale on Wednesday, August 18 at 10 a.m. PT. An announcement of the shows in Inglewood, California mentions a “special code” will be shared for the presale.
“These very special shows will feature a return of the iconic production from the original album’s tour in 2012 and L-ISA Hyperreal Sound, the spatial audio technology from L-Acoustics used at select tour dates on our autumn 2019 tour, which fosters a deeper sense of connection with live music as we experience Bon Iver, Bon Iver live together,” added the band.
Jagjaguwar/4AD will release the limited edition Bon Iver, Bon Iver (10th Anniversary Edition) on CD and LP January 14, 2022. Phoebe Bridgers penned an essay for the reissue, which includes the original 10 tracks paired with five cuts from the band’s 2021 AIR Studios 4AD/Jagjaguwar session.
