Billy Strings Cancels New Year’s Run 2021 Due To COVID-19

Guitarist Billy Strings canceled his upcoming New Year’s Run of concerts in Grand Rapids, Michigan that were scheduled for December 30, December 31 (New Year’s Eve) and January 1 (New Year’s Day) as “key players” on his team have COVID-19. “We simply can’t put on the show that you expect and the show you deserve without them,” Strings said of the decision to cancel the concerts at 20 Monroe Live in a video shared on his social feeds.

Strings recently canceled his String The Halls benefit concerts in Nashville due to a positive COVID-19 case within his team. Tickets for the concerts and livestreams will be refunded automatically at point of purchase.

Posters for the New Year’s Run will be put up for sale soon. Proceeds will benefit local charities.
