The life, spirit and music of the late Gregg Allman will be honored with the fifth annual Allman Family Revival, an 18-city tour put together by Gregg’s son, Devon Allman. Devon’s group, The Allman Betts Band will serve as house band for the run which spans November 27 – December 19.
Each three-hour concert will presented in similar fashion to The Band’s famed farewell show The Last Waltz. Robert Randolph, Donavon Frankenreiter, Lilly Hiatt, Cody and Luther Dickinson, Eric Gales, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Jimmy Hall and Lamar Williams Jr. are aboard for the entire tour.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd, G. Love, Samantha Fish, Alex Orbison and Kenny Aronoff will perform at select dates. “Hard to believe we are in the fifth year of The Allman Family Revival shows!” exclaimed Devon. “This year is going to be bonkers! 18 cities, coast to coast in historic theaters with our beautiful, talented friends jamming all night long. Can’t wait!”
Allman Family Revival 2021 begins at The Factory in St. Louis on November 27. From there, the tour makes stops in Dallas, Austin, New Orleans, Atlanta, Sarasota, Huntington (New York), Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Silver Spring (Maryland), Ann Arbor, Chicago, Tulsa, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, September 17.
