Underground Railroad in Mid-Hudson

Underground Railroad in Mid-Hudson

Join us for an exploration of the Underground Railroad in our region with historians from the Mid-Hudson Antislavery History Project (MHAHP). Members of the MHAHP – including those who have done quite a bit of research in Ulster County on slavery and on resistance to enslavement – outline the scope of the group’s ongoing research. The MHAHP invites attendees to talk about their research and interests, and to consider plans to work together. The gathering is hosted by the historic Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library — founded in honor of a dedicated abolitionist who was an active member of the Milton Quaker community. Deepen our knowledge of the Underground Railroad in the Mid-Hudson Region, and especially in Ulster County. Free and open to the public.
