TMI Project: Locker Room Talk

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — On Friday, February 9th at 7pm, Kingston-based storytelling non-profit TMI Project will present Locker Room Talk, a group of true storytelling performances by a cast of Kingston High School football players, as part of its ongoing partnership with the nationally-acclaimed violence prevention organization A Call to Men. This live performance of Locker Room Talk serves as a sneak peak to the forthcoming documentary of the same name, which chronicles the players’ participation in a TMI Project memoir writing and storytelling workshop designed to confront a hyper-masculine culture–and redefine what it means to be men.

The performance will be preceded with a keynote by Tony Porter of A Call To Men. Porter is internationally recognized for his efforts to prevent violence against women while promoting a healthy, respectful manhood, and his 2010 TED Talk was named by GQ as one of the “Top 10 TED Talks Every Man Should See.”

The event is free and open to the public.
