Mindfulness is a practical approach to a stressful and sometimes confusing world. It is a tool that can provide peace when there is worry, calm when there is agitation and balance when there is instability. By turning our attention inward and observing the present moment we can work toward acceptance, and away from judgement. Mindfulness carries a 2,500 year old history of benefits to health and well being that modern science is now affirming.
In this 3 part series, we will explore our ability to work our ‘mindful muscle’ so that we can incorporate more techniques into our daily lives. Our presenters psychotherapist Kezia Cooper, LCSW and acupuncturist Ben Fleisher, LAc, CZB will be offering free ‘Monthly Mindfulness’ workshops focusing on 3 hot topics: stress reduction, IBS/digestion and insomnia.
