Knit for Charity

Knit for Charity

This group meets at the Olive Free Library, to knit blankets for a group called Project Linus. Project Linus donates new handmade blankets to kids in Ulster and Sullivan County who are gravely ill or homeless.

There is no specific size requirement, from preemie to full size bed is accepted, but they need to be washable and come from a smoke free environment. If people are unable to make the meeting they are more than welcome to make blankets at home and bring them in to us. The library has plenty of yarn for people to use. People can also crochet granny squares that can then be put together to make a blanket. This group meets on the first Tuesday of every month.
