The Junior League of Kingston will hold its annual Touch-A-Truck fundraiser on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 11 AM until 4 PM in Forsyth Park. The cost is $5 per person; admission for children aged 2 and under is free with a paying adult. The Touch-A-Truck event offers children a hands-on opportunity to explore various types of vehicles in the construction, public safety, agriculture, and military industries.
Vehicles on display may include construction trucks and equipment, emergency responders, tractor-trailers, farm tractors, race cars, garbage trucks, and more. Children of all ages will be allowed to explore vehicles of all sizes with guidance from the respective professionals who will explain the equipment and discuss the work they do with such machinery. The event will feature a “siren-free zone” between the hours of 11 AM and 12 PM, during which time no horns or sirens will be sounded. This family-friendly event will have activities for kids to enjoy as well as food vendors.
