To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m., the Olive Free Library will offer a concert titled The Irish Harp: History and Magic. Harpist Julia Haines will explore the myths and meaning of Irish music with Celtic music and stories of the mystery of the Emerald Isle. Tickets are a suggested donation of $12 at the door.
Julia Haines, harper, will take us on a musical journey into the myth and meaning of Irish music and legends. Weaving ancient poetry and story with traditional and contemporary Celtic harp music, she reveals the wonder and mystery of the Emerald Isle. Come experience the time before time in the ‘Land beneath the waves” with the enchanting music of the Celtic Harp and stories to nourish your mind, heart and spirit.
Recognized for being a harper among harpers, with a unique approach to the Celtic harp, Julia Haines weaves together classical, traditional and contemporary influences.
