Come out for a night combining women’s history and local history. Melinda McKnight, from the Klyne Esopus Museum, will be teaching about Hilda Worthington Smith. Hilda Worthington Smith was a labor educator. She had several federal appointments including being a specialist in Workers’ Education for the Federal Emergency Relief Administration and director of the Workers’ Service Program for the Works Progress Administration. The life and legacy of this local historical woman will be discussed.
