Feeding the Hudson Valley

‘Feeding the Hudson Valley’, will bring people together to enjoy a free lunch prepared with rescued and/or recovered food that has been saved from going to waste. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about food waste prevention and food rescue.

The event is a celebration of positive solutions to the issue of food waste. In addition to a free lunch, the event will include live music, expert speakers and local chef demonstrations.The event will be held on the Walkway Over the Hudson (Poughkeepsie side) on Saturday October 8, 2016, 11:00am-3:00pm in conjunction with the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley ‘Walk to Fight Hunger’. The event is being organized by The Hudson Valley Regional Council, Feedback, Dutchess Outreach, Dutchess County Division of Solid Waste, Rescuing Leftover Cuisine and others.
