About Jenny Saldaña

Comedian/Actor/Writer | Jenny Saldaña has been called all of these things, but what she is most proud of is being called a cancer survivor. She grew up in Washington Heights, went to high school in Miami and has a degree in theatre arts from the University of Pittsburgh. She spreads cancer awareness with her very candid comedy style and can be seen performing all over NYC and beyond! She has been called the BOOB WHISPERER for all the work she does for women diagnosed with breast cancer, a title she has embraced and wears with honor.

About The Grace Project

The Grace Project – Mission The Grace Project is an empowering photographic project by fine art photographer Charise Isis that captures the courage beauty and grace of those who have had mastec- tomy surgery as a result of breast cancer. The very act of standing in front of a camera revealing their scars, allows each subject a transformative experience, giving them permission to step into self acceptance and the opportunity to share the story of the scars that have been written on their body. The project is inspired by Hellenistic sculpture, Goddess sculptures that have survived the trauma of history such as the Venus de Milo. These relics have survived the trauma of history and although broken, cracked and scarred are celebrated as beautiful, their brokenness revealing the delicate nature of life but also the endurance and beauty that still exists. The goal of the Grace project is to photograph 800 portraits, the approximate number of women newly diagnosed in the U.S. every day. The portraits are exhibited on large format silk banners and will eventually be exhibited together in one space to show the enormous impact of breast cancer.
