Author Reading/Signing

Author Gray Basnight will talk about & read from his new novel, Flight of the Fox, where an innocent math professor tries to decode a mystery file while a team of hitmen chase him from the Catskills to NYC & down to Key West. The action switches between the J. Edgar Hoover era & the professor’s decoding of the file in 2019, in the midst of the Woodstock Festival 50th anniversary. As he runs for his life, armed only with his wits and intellect, he worries whether the truth will be told, & if he’ll be seen as a hero whistle blower or a pariah. Or worse, will he end up dead?

Says the Key West Citizen: “…gripping premise … told at a blistering pace… all the good ingredients to be a page-turner: conspiracies, government dishonesty, espionage, and paranoia …. an effort worthy of Robert Ludlum.”

Gray is deeply immersed in fiction writing, after almost three decades in broadcast news. This is his third published novel. He lives with his wife in NYC & Sullivan County.
