RADIO WOODSTOCK CARES FOUNDATION

DONATES $45,000 TO CANCER CARE & RESEARCH FACILITIES

AND LOCAL NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

(December 18, 2018, Woodstock, New York). The Radio Woodstock Cares Foundation, in association with Radio Woodstock, 100.1 WDST, announced that it will donate $45,000 to cancer care & research facilities and local not-for profit organizations in the Hudson Valley. This year’s efforts bring Radio Woodstock’s collective donations to nearly $650,000 since the start of its Pink October fundraising activities 20 years ago.

Radio Woodstock Cares Foundation 2018 Beneficiaries are:

  • The Vassar Brothers Medical Center Foundation – $20,000

  • The MidHudson Regional Foundation – $10,000

  • The HealthAlliance Foundation – $10,000

  • The Washbourne House – $1,000

  • Grace Smith House – $1,000

  • Food Bank of the Hudson Valley – $1,000

  • Family of Woodstock – $1,000

  • Planned Parenthood of the Mid-Hudson Valley – $1,000

Radio Woodstock’s principal owner and President, Gary Chetkof stated that “We thank all of our Radio Woodstock supporters, listeners, advertisers and sponsors for rallying behind our efforts to make a positive difference in our community”.  By coming together for the common good, we are helping to change lives right here at home”.

Radio Woodstock Cares Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that was created by Radio Woodstock  to support breast cancer research and patient services in the Hudson Valley and the numerous local non-profit groups and those in need.
