The 5th Annual Art Studio Views event is a free fun-filled self-guided Open Studio Tour showcasing the talents of 30 local and nationally known artists, held over Labor Day weekend. ( Sept 1st and 2nd) Grab our brochure, and your GPS, to enjoy a rare ‘behind the scenes’ visit to the studios; take the opportunity to be on the inside track of where the art is produced; get to know the artists and see their creative environment. The artists work in various mediums and styles: photography, paintings, prints, ceramics, stained glass and sculpture. All are available for purchase directly from the artist. Many studios will have demonstrations and other exciting events going on. Support our artists and sponsors, including WDST, that support the arts. Maps and brochures will be available throughout the area and online. Also, a special ‘online’ silent auction of large wooden “ART BOXES”, uniquely designed and donated by the artists for this event will be held during the month of August and up to 8pm on Sept. 2nd. All auction proceeds to benefit “The Pediatric Unit”, at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Think local and enjoy the ART bounty of our region.
