Coldplay's first North American tour in nearly three years includes a stop at the IZOD Center on August 3. The band is touring in support of its new RIAA-certified Platinum record, Mylo Xyloto, which has scored the most No. 1 rankings of any album this year worldwide, topping the charts in 34 countries to date. Mylo Xyloto's first two singles have received GRAMMY nominations - "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song, and the Gold-certified "Paradise" for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Coldplay is nominated for a People's Choice Award in the Favorite Band category.
Coldplay - comprising of Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Chris Martin - has sold more than 50 million records worldwide and won numerous awards, including seven GRAMMY(r) Awards, six Brit Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards.
Marina & the Diamonds and Emeli Sande have been announced as the support acts for their upcoming shows at the IZOD Center.
