Telling Our Stories: NY Health

Telling Our Stories: NY Health
Has health insurance failed you or someone you know? Did you know that a bill proposing universal health care for all New Yorkers has passed the NYS Assembly for the last four years and is proposed again this year? On Saturday, April 13, 3-4:30 at the Kingston Public Library all are invited to enjoy light refreshments and share your stories. Guest speakers Council Member Rita Worthington and community leaders Pat Strong, Claire O’Brien and Myrna Capaldi will explain how the New York Health Act promises all New Yorkers much-needed relief from ever-increasing premiums, exorbitant deductibles and denial of care and treatment by administrators. A progressive income tax will fund comprehensive health care for all New Yorkers and cost less than we pay now for health care. Learn why the Kingston Common Council and the town councils of Saugerties, New Paltz and Rosendale endorse the New York Health Act. Go to https://www.nyhcampaign.org/for more information.
